We took Tom, Peggy, and Dorothy out to our favorite Thai restaurant while they were in town:
Ann’s folks came to see us for a week, and they rented a house on a farm that had a pond. Emilee and I went fishing on their paddle boat and caught a nice mess of bluegill and bass.
Here’s shot of small but growing blueberry bed. Our friends, the Cassady’s give us 3 of them, and we bought the other 2 at the Raleigh Farmer’s Market. Hopefully by next year we will have an abundance of blueberries to eat.
Time to see if these chickens are all that they are cracked up to be. Pun intended.
The fifth and final project was the frames for a couple raised vegetable gardens. This one didn’t take long at all. Thanks, Dad, for all your help!
Ann needed a place to hang some clothes in the laundry room, so this pole will do the trick.
The feeders that Emmy uses for feeding the chickens sit on the ground, and the chickens are forever knocking them over. So Dad and I and suspended them off the ground with a chain.
